I think FreeBitco.in, could technically generate a lot from advertisement, considering their traffic. But they have opted for no ads, and rightly so. Annoying ads usually scare off the users. The lower the user base, the less companies are willing to pay for ads, and thus advertisement income dries up. Basically, it's the road to bankruptcy, and it's good that FreeBitco.in didn't step on this road of no return.
Nope... Advertisement companies caught on to what "Faucet" traffic was and quickly saw that it was totally worthless. The target market for advertisement companies are people who have money to buy their products or who can pay for their services... not for people who have to click on a button every hour to get a fraction of a cent. (That is why they stopped paying for faucet sites)
Now that Freebitco.in have changed their business model to being a gambling/investment site, those companies might pay for the traffic, because people who has money to gamble, has money to pay for these products and services.
Should Freebitco.in do that? NO...... most people hate advertisements and would leave the site.
