This won't happen not with all the recent investments in bitcoin. In 2017 ethereum community had similar expectations about Ethereum overtaking bitcoin in market cap. That was when ETH created that $1400 all time high that was recently broken. When ethereum was so close to overtaking bitcoin by a couple of billions, the price drop and so did the marketcap.
