For now we have forked sushiswap on ropsten testnet and are working on a much more friendly UI for mainstreaming DEFI to the masses - mainnet launch over the next 3 - 6 months.
So Umbria utility governance token is already tradable on UniswapProtocol and you can buy UMBR with ETH and earn some interest 
Yes that's right. Governance will follow a similar path to sushiswap using compound's Governor Alpha. This means the token can be available from day 1.
The UMBR token will be used for this!
I'm not a DeFi specialist, or even a programmer to get a good understanding of smart contracts, but this two above statements are a bit contradictory for me.
In the first, you say that the project is still in the testnet phase, and in the second, that it is practically usable and tradable on Uniswap.
I don't seem to understand something .. Could you please explain?
Sorry for the confusing. The full protocol is working on the Ropsten Testnet. For now, only the governance token is available on Mainnet and on Uniswap. I hope this answers your question. The team says they are rolling out the protocol over the next few months onto the mainnet, one piece at a time. They are also working on getting Umbria on the MATIC sidechain to lower the fees by over 99%
