It actually depends on what product/project you are going to invest in and you are going to trade in. Actually all cryptocurrencies in my opinion are good for trades specially big cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin or Ethereum as you know how volatile these two are nowadays and there are lot of altcoins too which will give you loads of earning when you do swing trades on it, the bigger the volatility is the higher return that it has.

However on investing, I think you should choose the cryptocurrencies which has a good background, long term goals and really good developments (roadmap and whitepaper included) on it as you will be letting and trusting your money on it for a long time on it. Bitcoin is the most common one when it comes to holding as its price starts to move for years and not weeks but nowadays we know how active it is right now which makes me trade it most of the time too.
