I too gamble just for fun, to enjoy the weekends but I do notice one thing, that anytime I gamble, I prefer to always win. Even if I and friends are playing games for fun, I do not like to lose. In anything I do, I like to always win. I use low amount of money for gambling that can not have any effect on me if I lose, but I am still always unhappy if I lose, I always like to win and bet only at the time I believe I have the best chances to win.
For me, it's a mix or fun and business. Sometimes, I'm all about making money off those juicy odds and other times, I just do it for the fun especially betting on events where both teams are favorites. And of course, nobody likes losing money even if what they do is just for fun. Why not have fun and get to make so money while at it? That's most likely why you're unhappy whenever you incur losses. Whether I'm placing bets for fun or otherwise, I don't enjoy incurring losses. Just want to mention that I also do use funds that I won't have much impact on my overall finances in case things doesn't go as planned kinda like how Liverpool lost at home yesterday.
