The cause of the transaction failure is most likely due to low gas limit (this is different from gas fee) and not an issue with your hardware wallet. You can confirm this by checking with explorer like etherscan.io
The next time you send, you can check the recommended gas fees at
https://ethgasstation.info/ first. For gas limit, 21K is the normal amount but perhaps you can increase that to make sure your transaction goes through.
