Panic buyers usually don't put in 7 BTC bids to fake buy support though. That was a pump that died early, or had very modest goals. What activity you're seeing now is the dead cat bounce.
EDIT: Large BTC buy wall at 2000 to shore up another push...I'm guessing these guys want it at least where they left it yesterday, in the 3000 range, before they unleash the guppies.
