No one know and no one can predict. Because cost gas fee is affected by price of ethereum, which has risen greatly.
It doesn't matter to me that transaction costs go up high, because it's a natural thing when ethereum price go up so automatically fees will also go up.
But many say this is all because ethereum released version 2.0, it really isn't. Look back at the end 2017 when ethereum went up in price and fees went up too
