Well, personally I think either Doge will reach $1 or not, everybody should hold a few thousands of coins (at least) just in case 
Just in case it is not wrong, because currently Dogecoin is still at a very good price even though it has experienced several price drops through market corrections, so some people say that to increase the price to $ 1 it seems more difficult for Dogecoin to achieve it.
