Centralized strategies communicate with the exchange Application Programming Interface (API) and it is the API that allows or disallows commands tuned to the client's set preferences. This user controls what the bot can do and what it can not and the exchange provides the guarantee that the bot can not do anything that the user did not explicitly allow before. The bot can not directly access the funds. It can only indirectly deal through the API and only with functions that the user enabled. Either the user or the exchange can revoke its access anytime. Now our bot supports two centralized exchanges: Binance and Poloniex. If you have concerns related to the security of any of these options, let me know!
Decentralized strategies can not access the user funds directly, nor indirectly. The bot formulates recommendations in natural language on Telegram and the client can choose to follow its instructions or not. Examples of such instructions are in the screenshot I attached above. For example: go to
