The developers probably don't know two things:
1. Bumping service is cheating and spamming, not a form of marketing
2. They want their thread to be visible, but they don't know that threads are not chronologically arranged and that someone regularly writes in their thread doesn't affect positioning.
And they keep ignoring this issue instead of manning up and make some clarification/explanation just make this matter worse as it shows their company ethic didn't shows any sign of responsibility taking.
About chronological threads, I think it actually is chronological, from the least updated to the most recent. The gap with old threads in between new ones are the result of "bump" button at the end of each thread page, which is allowed by the forum for certain frequency.
In fact, I know the "bump" button exists, but I've never used it, so I don't know exactly how it works.
However, threads in "Announcements (Altcoins)> Tokens (Altcoins)" and "Bounty" are not automatically arranged chronologically as they are in other sections. It can be filtered, but manually, which probably not everyone knows.
Anyway, it looks like the developers don't even know they're paying for something that doesn't work. Aside from the fact that they act unethically and thus their project loses its reputation.
