Yes. People like OP just need to buy Bitcoin and think of what the future will bring instead of regretting the past. Otherwise, in the future he will start another thread saying "if I had bought Bitcoin in 2021 when it was at $50k...
It is generally a good idea to read the topic past the title. If you did that, you would see that title is just sort of clickbait, and OP actually says that it is pointless to dwell on that thought as mostly likely they would sold the bitcoins long time ago. And OP is right, absolutely no one saw this coming 10 years ago. Hell, even at the beginning of 2017 barely anyone thought that BTC could go up to $20,000 until end of the year.


That being said, do not punish yourself with the "if I had" thinking. Invest what you can and hold while you can. Taking profits is not a bad idea as well.
Main source of that is media, that keeps churning out those sort of articles as people simply like to think "what if..." and imagine instead focusing on the present.
