The thing is with $10,000.... Into BTC at $60,000.... BTC would have to hit $120,000 before you 2x your investment... Some alts or platform coins are doing 30% to 70% a week or month. BTC may be the better long term hold maybe (though maybe not) but just depends on your risk appetite is.
Why not look at ADA (CARDANO) personally I think this is the best mid cap coin, or Etherium right now, with $10,000 you can by 5.5 ETH and you can can sit back and watch the money come rolling in
