Congratulation to both players but once again I'm fascinated with Novak, the absolute definition of mental strength. He was on a mission and he made it, mentally present at every point, so focused, returns right under opponent's feet, served well (big thanks to Ivanisevic+ quicker court speed this year AO), destroyed opponent in cross-court exchanges (particularly backhand to backhand), had a dimension more (mix it up with net approaches and bh slices to interrupt the rhythm of a rally.
Opponent not so young but mentally not near the BIG3. We all expected 4-5setter and more than 4 hours of play but in the end it was stroll through the park for world number 1.
