Personally, I've planted around 20ish trees. What I've learned from planting trees is that you also have to take care about them until they are able to grow by themselves. Simply planting is not enough for many tree species, unless you're planting the most resilient ones. You should also be mindful about which species of trees you're planting where and whether they are endemic to that region. Because otherwise you can make more harm then good.
