I've been around since 2013.  Back then, I had one gaming computer mining dogecoin for about 500k a day. In those days, I think I earned about 3 dollars for mining, minus electricity, and I probably broke even.  Strange how things have changed.

Yes, we are on two small exchanges which seem to operate fine.  Right now, scrypt miners lead the way for demand.  The trick is to move beyond that and into the speculators and general crypto enthusiasts.  Slow, steady developments help.  There will always be dumpers and short-term speculators. 

If you're unsure about the exchanges, try a small doge transfer.  On my end, it's worked fine.
