)That will hot help against Chinese people. As I suggested earlier, to incentivize people to mine MED and buy some, you could send random small
amounts to addresses seen on blockchain. A bit higher rewards for mined block (address that received newly generated coins) and normal, smaller
rewards for addresses seen in other transactions. That way one who wants to participate must:
1. Solo mine MED or
2. Buy MED and move it outside of exchange, to local wallet or other exchange, so that proof of address ownership (transaction) exists on blockchain.
Classic faucets no longer work, especially if they pay out a lot of coins. People found ways to suck them dry in matter of hours and then of course just
dump all coins at exchange.
One way or another, keep rewards low!

technically we can do that as you write: send random small amounts to addresses seen on the blockchain, a bit higher rewards for mined block and smaller rewards, random, to other addresses in other transactions. and keep rewards low.
on the other side, the idea of having a new generation of faucet involving dual altcoins is also interesting, so we are looking to ways to be innovative and have more and more people using MED...
ok, in the meanwhile we are going to complete this new approach and test it, we have already developed some code which fits pretty well with this.
ok, started a test run of this "bonus" service starting from block 102251
additional rule: when an address receives a bonus, then for the next you have to wait 600s
random amount is between 0.2 and 1 MED
in case of coinbase, the address gets a bonus*2

changed somewhat the bonus rules:
random amount is between 0.2 and 1 MED
in case of coinbase, the address gets a bonus*3
the transaction value must be greater then 10 MED
when an address receives a bonus, then the minimum to wait is 60s; if the last bonus was more then 600s before, then you get 100% the bonus;
in between you have a chance to get the bonus, chance which increases as the deltatime from the last bonus increases.
