We don't need more buyers, especially ones with unlimited money.
Yeah, can you imagine how much bitcoin the Fed could buy?  All they'd have to do is create USD out of thin air (like they've been doing for years) and they'd be able to corner the market if they wanted to.

And no, I don't think any branch of the US government should be buying bitcoin.  Let the public companies and other corporations do that if they want to, but I think it'd be irresponsible for any government to hoard bitcoin with taxpayers' money.  What the US government needs to do is figure out how they're going to pay off all the debt they've accumulated--and somehow I doubt the solution is going to be pretty.
