With EIP-1559 which basically begins the process of ending Ethereum mining [ur=https://stopeip1559.org/l]opposed by all major mining pools[/url], miners will look for other ethash coins to mine. With Expanse's pivot to DeFi with EggSwap, a fork of Uniswap this would make Expanse the most logical coin for all Ethereum miners to mine if there is a revolt similar to after the DAO in 2016 because though they oppose the hard fork which would include EIP=1559 they do not want to keep mining the old chain as was the case where Ethereum Classic was born. No other ethash based chains are as popular as Expanse so naturally it would be the one that miners gravitate towards.
Expanse could take advantage of this with some imagery of asteroid mining.
