Yes it does, it does exactly what it is supposed to do. In fact in works so well we are talking with the Dogecoin devs to potentially help them implement something similar.

Would Dogecoin implementing Digishield benefit the Digibyte community?  If so, how?

Digishield getting credit for warding of the multipools off dogecoin would be a huge PR boost. When other coins look at dogecoin and sees the succesful anti-multipool system, they will be tempted to implement the same. All leading to Digibyte getting recognition.
