Like around 2011 to 2015? Before it became available on major exchanges?
I started making use of Bitcoin in 2013, but then I didn’t know about exchanges because I didn’t fully understand Bitcoin as I do now, and the only thing I knew was how to make use of a Bitcoin wallet and that’s the only thing I knew, and I was making use of the Xapo wallet back then, didn’t know that there was more to it.

So, back then I discovered it because I was looking for alternatives to PayPal and other options didn’t seem quite good to me; so Bitcoin was like the best to go with. And the way I understood Bitcoin was that it’s just another payment method like PayPal. When I received my first Bitcoin from a work I did back then, I had to go to a forum and posted that I had Bitcoin for sell to attract buyers then.

I can tell you that it was difficult for me then, because I was still new to all these internet stuff and was trying my best to avoid scammers, although I did got scammed once but it was just a small amount, so I’m damn lucky.
