I dont think its smart to get crypto investment advice from forums most of us here dont know what we are saying and most of the advice you will get are going to be coming from other noobs just like you.
The Best advice i have is do your own research, if you dont understand it, dont invest in it, its better to miss out than to loose your money.
Remember investments are risky, so why trust other people's opinions to making investments that they aren't making with their own money?

Overall, I completely agree with you and doing your own research is the most important part of the preparation!!!
However, this research also includes the collection of opinions from people who are in this field before you, or more precisely the people in this forum (as you said, we need to judge who are newbie and who are more experienced in the crypto world). I think this forum is one of the biggest places where you can get an opinion on this topic, so the questions are not such a "stupid" idea.
