Remember investments are risky, so why trust other people's opinions to making investments that they aren't making with their own money?
This is probably the best recommendation I would give any new trader in the alt coin market. There is a lot of more risks involved in trading alt coins than just with holding bitcoins.
Doing your own research is definitely key in finding good opportunities and avoiding investing into bad ones. But without recommendations it is very hard to start your search for opportunities.
In my opinion it is alright to listen to recommendations here on the forum as long as we don't take everything on face value.
