Thanks for this information , I was not foreseeing this kind of fall out from brexit. As a citizen of European country , i think that brexit is a sad and stupid outcome. We are stronger together, and the Union was benefiting UK and EU, now both are hurting financially and most likely UK is hurting more in many aspects. This situation is even sadder because the referendum was won by such a little margin, if it was held today i am sure that they would not leave.
If it was held today that would mean that people saw what happened and that is how they decided to go back, that is a different thing then deciding to do it or not when you do not know what is going to happen.

So, I do give them benefit of the doubt, plus during a period when all politicians promote brexit in a way that makes it look cool to their voters so that it would be done, there is a lot of propaganda that convinced people, even a friend of mine who is a smart guy decided to vote to get out not because of anything that would help him, he knew it would be bad for the country, but because he didn't want to be part of EU enough to take the hit when this happened. Long story short it was a wrong move, anyone who could see it knew it, but between all the propaganda and all the hatred, this was inevitable to happen, maybe in the future they will get back in one day.
