What kind of post gives good merit? 
For me something that will simplify explanation about Cryptocurrency and blockchain and similar topics, depends on the giver I usually give merit to newbies for coming up with a good post that adds value to the discussion, I even have two thread inviting newbies to post their best post for merits, I notice that you already have merit coming from OgNasty I will not contest it, he has a reason why he gives to you, maybe he wants to see how the discussion will go on.Simplification will make newbie confuse so I think this will not end up receiving a merit to someone and giving all of the information is required so that newbie will be knowledgeable and well equip once they want to earn for theirselves thats why mostly those long post with good explanation gets a.high merit percentgage since they post a good informative information.
