Uhm, I've heard that the Apple M1 chip was great and all that in terms of work and productivity, but for Bitcoin mining? You're probably going to need a lot more than that. ASICs are still the way to go.
No one has used it yet so we have to brace ourselves because if what Apple says is true about their M1 chip then we might be in for a surprise. Maybe some user here will try and tweak their Iphone 12 and try and use the chip to mine, or maybe Apple can get in the mining scene.
I can't imagine that this chip would be able to get along with ASICS, it's just a single chip as CPU for MAC computers. CMIIW.
But it cannot go with the dynamics and settings that's needed to mine bitcoin. I agree to mk4 that ASICS are still on it for bitcoin mining.
