This has been done in the past in a selective case, before the changes were implemented. Most likely, the staff are going to maintain the attitude in the FAQ: "We don't have enough time to check every single piece of information and verify the validity of the sources. Also, just like scams - too much room for bias and abuse."
Didn't realise it was a thing to be honest, but I think a better solution would be to allow people to post more than 5 but it doest effect their weighting after that. If someone has done dozens or even hundreds of deals with somebody I think they should be logged but maybe not count towards their feedback score as it can be abused.
Why change anything significantly when you can post a pastebin (or equivalent) link?
