You don't have to ask this question. Just look at the numbers they're playing at and the answer should be obvious...
I'd love to say that ETH wins on this but given how it hasn't progressed in ages I just can't say that. At least BTC with all its volatility has reached new ATH again and again whilst ETH did almost nothing. ETH 2.0 needs to come out faster...
even today, I still think that these two coins provide the same potential. it's just that, the benefits offered are different because the prices of these two coins are completely different. however, I tend to choose ethereum because until now the price is still affordable, and the price of the BTC pair can also increase over time.
