I'm new to mining, and learned enough about the concept via youtube and google to try to start mining, using my gaming PC yesterday to see if I can do it.
Specs on my PC:
CPU: intel i9-10850k
CPU Liquid cooling solution: NZXT Kraken Z73 360mm Liquid Cooling System
GPU: ASUS TUF 24GB RTX 3090
RAM: 64GB DDR4 (dual channel) (this is in the form of 4 RAM sticks)
PSU: 1050 Watt - High Power 80 PLUS Gold
Operating System: Windows 10 pro 64 bit
I downloaded nicehash, because a youtube video said it's good for mining bitcoin, only to find out I was mining something called mBTC
I downloaded EasyMiner, because another youtube video said it's good for mining bitcoin, only to find out I was mining etherium.
I got nothing against those forms of crypto, but I want to mine bitcoin. Everytime I find a program that says it's good for mining bitcoin, the link to download it doesn't exist anymore or the program mines
something other than bitcoin.
So here are some mining questions that I have:
1. So what mining program actually mines bitcoin? Please answer with a link. I've googled this to death only to find programs that mine cryptos other than bitcoin
2. Why is it when I exit a mining program after I've been mining for an hour, that I lose video feed from my GPU and I have to force a reboot of my PC to get video feed from my GPU again?
(and no, my GPU/CPU hasn't been overtaxed). The warmest temps I got from my CPU/GPU is (50c/61c) for nicehash and (51c/66c) for EasyMiner.
