If the max supply is 5,000,000,000 BFG but the number of burned tokens (right now) is 1,299,640,665 BFG... Shouldn't that make max supply technically 3,700,359,335 BFG and decreasing as it constantly deflates?

That is true. They own all until it's distributed to all holders. You can see the token already minted if you check BFG on Tronscan. There are currently two but the latest is probably the official contract address for the merged BFG.
Yes I have checked it and find out other information I am planning on hunting for BFG tokens but am still hesitant for some reasons
Based on my calculations, the total BFG supply and rewards from the game really don't match IMO
