Satoshi took careful steps to make sure that the world would look back and observe that bitcoin was launched fairly:
No premine (Satoshi didn’t grant himself any coins)
Gave a 2 month heads up before launching the network (no sudden release and no mining before release)
Coins had no value for 1.5 years so they circulated freely (this cannot even be replicated)
Satoshi never cashed out (unlike every other founder in history and I bet that it never happens again)

The real reason why any other cryptocurrency can't "beat" Bitcoin, is because the pioneer cryptocurrency has first mover advantage on the market. It was the original cryptocurrency that started it all. None of the recent achievements of other projects wouldn't have been possible without Bitcoin. Remember, the original project always prevails over its "copycats". In essence, altcoins are "copycats" (either directly or indirectly) of Bitcoin as they all have one thing in common. And that is the use of Blockchain technology to move money across borders.
When we get a new project with a completely revolutionary technology that could challenge the Blockchain, then Bitcoin will no longer be the biggest cryptocurrency in the world. Until then, expect other cryptocurrencies to remain behind Bitcoin in terms of market cap and mainstream adoption. It's not about replacing Bitcoin, but rather working together to make our world a better place. Just my thoughts
