I don't think Robbie will play as an opener for CSK because I guess he was bought as a backup opening batsman since they already have faf and Gaikwod to open the innings so in case of injury or poor performance may get him a chance or else he will be at the bench for this season.
I don't even know whether this Gaikwad guy will find a slot in the playing XI. Robin Uthappa was in terrific form for Kerala during the domestic tournaments recently. And in all probability, CSK will go for Uthappa - du Plessis combo. BTW, if Bravo is fit to play then CSK will face selection conundrum. They can include only 4 overseas players. So in case Bravo, Faf and Curran are selected, only one among these players can be included: Moeen Ali, Mitchell Santner, Imran Tahir, Josh Hazlewood, Lungi Ngidi and Hardus Viljoen. Can they really afford to drop Hazlewood?
He's right, their first choice would be Gaikwad-Faf combination. Gaikwad was pretty good buy for them last year and he also scored fair amount of runs with the average of 50 plus. Guess they bought Moeen Ali recently at very high price so i think he would get first chance over anyone else.
