Signature campaign earnings that I received are being hodl in the account. I don't use it cause I prefer it to be the money for my emergency needs. I will only convert it to USD if I really need it, and if I need something which is essential to my life as a student, I use my other jobs earnings.
It's good to hear that you save your rewards you got from the signature campaign that you participated. Saving your money is best you do because yes incase the emergency you can have money to use and if you want to fix value you should convert it to the USD because we know the market the price changing fast.
I hope everyone will be wise for the using of the bitcoin we get on the signature campaign and save some of it not gambling it because like today the bitcoin we spend in playing instead of saving it the value we spend become higher now so be wise spending on it to the gambling games.
For me I think that's not wise if its for emergency, it's wise to convert it in fiat and save it, not in bitcoin as we can't control the price, sometimes its bullish and sometimes its bearish. Now, let's put it at this scenario, what if your 1 bitcoin which is valued now at $55k dropped 10 times and its only $5500 during the time you need it for emergency, would you be happy if its not anymore enough for the specific expenses?
Bitcoin is an investment and due to its volatile nature no one should use it for emergency funds and this is because as you point out the price of bitcoin could drop just when you need the money the most and you do not want to be in that kind of situation, so for anyone that is thinking on having an emergency fund I congratulate him because this pandemic has shown to us that something like that is very necessary just do not use your bitcoin in that way.
