This is what I got ....
We updated the deamon last night and are in the process of downloading the block chain.
That's fair enough. Remember that if the older version of their daemon went past the fork point, they only have two options:
1) Restore an earlier snapshot of the database from a backup
2) Download the entire blockchain from scratch
I imagine option 2 would be somewhat similar to starting the Bitcoin client for the first time. It will take AGES.
