Is this your only l3 miner?
If not then you can try to put those hashboards to another of your machines and see if they start to work.
If you want to use firmware then i would suggest Vnish for l3+.

i got an s9 running but i dont want to swap boards and open it
when i try to update through vnish it says signature failed so i guess i need the sd card method which i cannot find on there site
do they have any sd card method?
If you have bitmain 2019 firware then you can´t directly flash it with new firmware.
