Same here, I love him as a figher but not as a politician with big ambition to become a president, and I think we are just speculating beacuse I never head that he announce he will run for presidency. No one could beat President Duterte as now he is the most popular person in the Philippines.
Why? Is his political track record that bad? If he wants to run for the president, then let him do it. Philippines is a democratic country and any adult citizen can run for the presidency. Here in India, we have a former tea seller as the prime minister (the presidential post is largely ceremonial). The fact that Manny is not a career politician should not be held against him. IMO, ordinary politicians are much better than career politicians.
People in the Philippines knows which candidate is the best, if you follow the journey of Pacquioa, you would not think that he is fit to a higher position than the senate. Kindly read this one...

after they have a good president, the standard of the Filipinos has been uplifted and they now have a high expectation, higher than the capability of the current president and I guess whoever the current president will endorse will win.
Each country is different so I do not know how things work on the Philippines, but if Manny wants to run for president he will at some point in time do it, now maybe he losses and that is fine, if the citizens of the Philippines have a good president and now they expect more from their leaders then there is nothing wrong with that, to my knowledge it is very difficult to make the transition of being a sports celebrity to a politician but it can be done if people are tired of their leaders, but with an approval rating so high it will be difficult for Manny to win in the case he makes a run for the presidency.
