Listed companies need to publish the details of their investments, in a monthly or quarterly basis. However, private companies are not required by the law to do so. So if some of the companies that are not traded in the stock market are purchasing or accumulating Bitcoins, then we may never know about it (that is unless these companies themselves reveal their holdings). That said, I believe that the next pump will be caused by individual investors from the United States, and not by institutional investors.
