Has anyone successfully used the Raspberry PI  for mining.

Hi Friend.  The short answer is no.  You're are not going to be able to hash specifically 'Bitcoin' on your PI's CPU.  However, you can easily get paid in Bitcoin if you hash Altcoin with lower difficulty.  But you will only be able to get paid if you are hashing in conjunction with a larger mining operation.

For example, I use Nicehash for my pool.  There I can get a payout every 4 hours when I reach 0.00001 BTC.  Regardless of the algorithm, everything pays in BTC.  With my Pi4, I currently have cpuminer-multi hashing out neoscrypt on my CPU while simultaneously hashing out sha256 with cgminer on my ASIC stick.  The CPU on the Pi4 makes an absurd 0.00000001 to 0.000000004 BTC a day - shmaybe - depending on the algorithm difficulty.  Because I mine everything in a pool that converts to BTC, eventually I will get a hash accepted and I can easily get paid for those 1 or 2 sats I pick up.

I hope this points you in the right direction.

Cheers.
