. Would've made the rest of the competitions a lot more exciting had they been able to get past Chelsea. No idea why Pep didn't field the strongest team. I don't buy the 'tired' excuse. It's not like they've got anything super-important for a bit as the PL is practically in the bag. Winning the quadruple should be something any top manager should aspire to especially as it hasn't been done before and I don't think they've been in a better position to do so than right now.

Trebles and Quads don't come often for most teams, though I've to say City seem to be fighting for it many seasons now. Maybe he really, like Klopp, wanted something in the bag (for him CL, for Klopp it was the 30-yr EPL drought) which I totally get but precisely, with the title more or less won, could surely afford to risk more with such squad depth.
Think any manager that does it will have statues in the city.
