Yes, and that's why now everyone is giving advice not to easily believe in new tokens or coins that are born suddenly without any news so that they are used to trap other people in the crypto space.
I have been part of a project in marketing and I would say that it is correct, there are way too many telegram groups that accept money and shill projects that are scams. As long as you pay money to those groups, they will share even if they knew you were scamming people. That is when I realized there is no true project that you can see from anywhere and know that they are real, sure you can trust your gut and invest and maybe you are right or maybe you are wrong but it won't be because anyone said so.
I have seen places that really take care of their investors, group famous for being "honorable" and even they charge money but more than other places. That's when I realized nothing is serious in the crypto world. Hell beefy which is a vault that is known all around the world and has millions upon millions of dollars in investment charges $75k and lists anything that pays it.
