I didn't participate either. Slowly but steady I am moving away from Ethereum and all Ethereum tokens... who cares about them and their crazy fees! I play, just not with them anymore! So I will wait for some next promotion, I don't doubt there will be one very soon... it's Betfury!
And I agree BFG tokens are too valuable to lose them or to spend them on bidding! At least for us here... maybe some high rollers are mining like crazy, so they can spend some here and there!
Maybe in July with the EIP-1559, the fees will drastically drop again which would make it again interesting to play more with ETH tokens.
I am waiting for altcoints spring part 4, which will hopefully bring some extra higher marketcap altcoins such as LTC, DOGE, XRP, DOT, ...
Of course, after a while, we will find out if Ethereum fees have decreased with the introduction of this protocol. However, I think that since everyone expects fees to drop dramatically and there will even be an opportunity for micropayments, this will not happen. Both Bitcoin and Ethereum have become a store of value and a tool for large sums of money on exchanges, first of all. After the introduction of the protocol, there may be a reduction and there will be, but I think it will still be insufficient for micropayments. And accordingly, they will never be used by players with small stakes.
