Yes, 10-15 minutes before launch for pools to set up.
bad move, 5 mins max, one of these will jump the start and ruin the launch....never trust pool owners one will jump early ... happens everytime they get source before launch
We'll take your advice and err on the side of caution and make it closer to 5 mins than 10 or 15. Between 3:05 and 3:10 UTC probably.
Never believe everything you read either. Not all pool owners are jerks.
No need to believe go and look at the last launches where pools got sources early.... at least 3 of the last launches where they were given source first at least 1 pool jumped early...some 1 hour some 10 mins. Pools should never have access to source codes early ... at the very max 5mins i would say they should get 1-2 min max really, some of those have it running in very short order. Most devs make them wait now and good why should they have it early anyway. They are just miners some with rep only days old. I wouldn't go to the trouble to make a coin just to get the coin ruined at launch by a noob account that set up a pool. Even the older pool owners fuck up and say...oh whoops got our timezones confused and release an hour early.
Nah solo from the start is the only way now, pool have shown themselves not to be trusted.
Most launches now devs don't give pools sources before hand ..there is good reason for that. You only need one bad pool out of many.... then all the hassle of a relaunch etc... nah. Pools are for diff once it goes over 1 or 2 diff before that even small miners have good chance solo.
