Which mail service are you using? Yahoomail, gmail etc? Confirmation mails arrive late sometimes which is why it's best to stay patient. If you received the confirmation email and if the result is an error, I guess they might ask you to provide an alternate email.
Keep discussion alternate solutions with their customer support on their site and try to co-operate with them because whining will get you nowhere.
