I replied to his post from the 22nd of last month, I saw it as well. He said he liked the idea of Elemental GEOs and the future of the project. My quote of his post was also deleted, absolutely bizarre as I've never seen it happen on this thread in the past few years.
1) You replied to whose post from the 22nd of last month? Did SecretsofCrypto post or Weifa or somebody else?
2) Regardless, on an unmoderated thread like this, the only people other than you who can delete your post are bitcointalk moderators, and they would send you a message saying "We had to delete your post. Please stop violating policies. etc"
3) Elemental GEOs, I have no idea what that is. I read a bit about yield farming or whatever, and it's all horseshit designed to fluff up the coin economy, jump on the 'lets waste energy and produce nothing and pretend we are saving the world' bandwagon. Same as 99.9% of coin fluff.
4) GEO coin, without adding circular economic silliness, like new ways to stake, is actually a coin that can be used for various things. Unlike most coins it does have potential longterm real world uses.
5) The unspoken weakness of Geocoin is geospoofing. Every time the issue is raised, nobody wants to discuss it, so the coin drops as people realize nobody wants a hard fix.
6) There are many ways to fix the geospoofing issue. One way which would partially fix that and several other issues at once is to promote sub economies which allow local groups to use Geo while excluding the general public. Giving the option to require a password to scoop up a coin would let groups limit who could pick up the coins they drop, and making the password optional lets geospoofers continue making a little money. There are lots of other fixes too.
Geocoin has enormous potential. Some years back a Chinese crew started working on a similar coin, and it attracted a lot of attention but not sure how it ended they may have surrendered to the geospoofing problem.
If people want to develop this coin seriously, and address issues up front like geospoofing, this might well be a massively popular coin.
There are not very many coins that could possibly appeal to the general public the way Geocoin could. The vast majority of coins are designed specifically for developers or speculators to make money with. Nobody really buys bitcoin for anything besides speculation
https://bitcointreasuries.org/ Same with most coins. Geocoin has a real use which appeals to most of the public. How many coins can say that?
