If the project is "unknown" very likely the project has been abandoned and you should stay away from it. In fact 99% of altcoins are not having any future in development but rather ends up as pump and dump by some investors playing on it.

I appreciate your enthusiasm to support newly developed projects, but trust me this sector is getting the least developer influx among other sectors. Mainstream projects that are doing the same thing are so hugely competitive that niche crypto projects get washed away. Have been watching the ICO/IEO/STO/Initialwhateverbuzzword/ etc for a long time and what I have understood is that if you wish to make money here, you need to buy bitcoin. Or if you wish to buy altcoins then buy them at low and manipulate their prices to pump and dump them. For the second one you need a huge amount of money at hand, which I am sure you are lacking.
