Stake still has its license. Curacao has changed their seal system and is replacing it with some certificate system. You'll notice most sites that have the same seal as us are missing their seal.
I am sure you do not care about it neither all that much but there are some gamblers who do and that is why I get the license. But to me, even though it is funny and I know I am rare in this regard, Stake is more trustworthy than curacao license. I don't know who gives licenses in curacao, I don't know if it is a government branch, or a company or whatever but I have seen too many places with curacao license to get "hacked" and nobody got their money back, owners just took off because of it.
This tells me curacao license worths zero in my mind, they are worthless and useless and you might as well not even have one. Not everyone thinks the same I know, there are many who wants to see a license evident from this topic alone where people are looking for it, but that is just people who do not know stake. I may not like it here as much as I used to because of some issues I have, BUT there is no doubt in my mind that Stake is more trustworthy than any license provider in the world.
I get the point you're trying to make. Sometimes, I do think that most of this licenses are just to fulfill all righteousness. It's kinda similar to how we have SSL certificates on both legit and scammy websites. A casino/gambling outfit can have majority if not all of the gambling licenses but still end up badly. At the very basic level, licenses just helps to boost confidence of users so they can be able to trust the platform they play at. Stake has been around for a long time, long enough for users to tag them as a trustworthy platform but it's still wise to keep their gambling license in place so they can operate without legal issues popping up here and there.
