Klar ist der Stromverbrauch ein Dauerthema aber ich muss euch hier mal ein paar aktuelle Fakten darstellen. Sicherlich nicht Aktuell da etwas älter aber schon bemerkenswert.
2018 wurden weltweit 26'614 TWh elektrische Energie produziert (26,6 PWh).
Nimmt man an, dass die Zahl auch heute noch ungefähr Gültigkeit hat, würde Bitcoin davon ziemlich genau 0,5 Prozent benötigen.
Die ungenutzten elektrischen Geräte in den USA im Standby-Modus benötigen 1,7 Mal so viel Strom. Nur USA
