Upcoming Updates on the Beldex Chain

POS on Beldex Chain
POS on Beldex Chain is implemented to improve the network’s scalability and privacy. The Beldex team is testing the implementation of POS on the Beldex network and enhancing privacy. Along with the consensus update from POW to POS, the currently existing Cryptonight algorithm will be upgraded to RandomX. Beldex will continue to support Masternodes post POS implementation.

📌TESTNET PROGRESS
Testing of the Beldex POS chain testnet in three phases is 100% complete. We have found the transition to be efficient in the testnet environment. Retaining the original privacy features have been successful for the most part.


📌MAINNET PROGRESS
The mainnet progress is 30% complete and we've found a few issues with syncing nodes across the network. Once the entire network is in sync, POS mainnet testing will progress to the next stage which is retention of privacy features network wide.

📌ALGORITHM CHANGE
The current algorithm of the BDX network is the Cryptonight algorithm. With POS implementation, this will be upgraded to RandomX.

📌TESTNET LAUNCH
Once the mainnet testing is complete, the testnet will be launched as an alpha network for the community. The community can set up masternodes and aid in finding issues occurring in a real-time environment.

Bridging Beldex Chain to BSC, Ethereum, and Polka Chain
BSC Bridge
The development of Beldex chain brigde to the Binance Smart Chain is on schedule with the Beldex chain to Binance smart chain swap being successfully tested. The Binance smart chain to Beldex chain swap is also being tested with successful results thus far.

The bridge has been integrated with the Metamask wallet and is currently tested for integration with the Binance chain wallet. The team is now working on the front-end of the bridge. Once the Binance wallet is integrated with the Beldex-Binance Smart Chain bridge, it will be released to the community in the alpha stage for feedback.

ETH Bridge
The Beldex to Ethereum Bridge will allow the BDX token to exist as an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum chain in a 1:1 ratio. This will allow Beldex tokens to be utilized on various Ethereum based platforms and wallets.

DOT Bridge
The Beldex to Polkadot Bridge will allow the BDX token to exist as an ERC-20 token on the Polkadot chain in a 1:1 ratio. This will allow Beldex tokens to be utilized on various Ethereum based platforms and wallets.

Beldex Wallets
Web Wallets
There are 2 versions of the decentralized web wallet. Both the version 1 (https://wallet.beldex.io/ ) and version 2 (https://walletv2.beldex.io/) can be used to send and receive as well as store BDX coins.
The version 2 has additional features such as adding contacts and adding multiple Beldex wallets.

Electron Desktop Wallet
The Electron Desktop Wallet application is currently supported for the Windows and Linux operating systems and will soon be released for iOS.
The desktop wallet has all the features of the v2 web wallet. Additionally, users can stake BDX on dedicated or remote masternodes and earn rewards.
