In my opinion, it depends on your own capital, if you do have a large amount of capital then trading is the right choice, because you can get a lot of profit from trading, but if you use a little capital, then you better invest and hold for the long term, because in the future you can get a lot of profit with a little capital (even though it takes a long time).
Also depends from how deep your understanding with the market that you are engaging with.
Even you have huge / decent capital to invest it's not a guarantee that you'll be able to compensate by doing the trade, chances of losing still there as risk is very high with the volatile nature of this market, make sure to study more deeper first before you choose your way to this journey of investment.
