it really doesn't matter who the president is, the policies are the exact same from both major political parties. Both the GOP and the Democrats are in favour of war, imperialism, high taxes, high government spending, inflation, and more government control over society. Biden is as establishment as a politician can be and will offer nothing but more of the same.

Convincing the majority for the implementation of an idea is the very concept of democracy. If you don't accept it, then the country doesn't care cause you are just part of the minority who wants something else. And what you want is for your own very own policy to be implemented, Which seems to be similar to what you hate in the first place.
But consider. There isn't really any democracy. Even when the majority likes a particular idea, each person of the majority thinks a little differently about how and why he likes the idea. And if they all opened up to each other about what they really thought, loads of factions would appear in this majority, and they would become a whole bunch of little minorities.
The whole thing called democracy is a tidbit of imaginary virtual reality.

Before democracy someone contributed his service on honorable basis and sales tax was the only tax.
